Dear readers,

Looking back at 2025

As 2025 comes to a close, we’re getting ready to welcome a new year full of unpredictable innovations. This past year has been a fascinating blend of technology and design, showing us that AI is no longer just a "trend" but a core part of how we create.

It’s time for a recap of the best 2025 advertising campaigns that integrated AI into their workflow! Whether they used it to boost customer engagement, alert us to wildlife fragility, or revive lost history, these projects prove one thing: when AI is used smartly, it doesn't replace the message, it enhances the experience.

Congrats to all the agencies and brands that used AI to deliver something truly qualitative this year.

🌞 Top 9 campaigns of the year 2025

GEO Magazine & BETC: Bringing extinct wildlife back to life

GEO and BETC Fullsix used AI to "resurrect" five extinct species (like the dodo and the Steller's sea cow). Working with scientists to ensure accuracy, they used a custom tool called Vermeer to turn old sketches and skeletons into realistic images. A powerful way to use AI for environmental awareness.

ANZ: The Falcon Lens at the Australian Open

During the Australian Open, ANZ let fans create personalized "Falcon" avatars by scanning QR codes. Using GPT-4 Vision and DALL·E 3, the AI analyzed the user’s features to generate a unique bird. It was a fun, interactive way to explain their high-tech fraud detection system.

Japan Airlines: Personalized in-flight travel films

JAL used Google’s Veo 2 and Gemini to create custom travel videos for passengers. Depending on their destination, travelers received AI-generated films showcasing local culture and regional highlights directly on their seatback screens.

Mastercard: Turning commutes into personalized storytime

In Sydney, Mastercard launched "Transit Tales." By using real-time transit data, the AI generated an audio story (narrated in various genres) that lasted exactly the length of the user’s train ride. A great example of making a daily routine feel magical.

SuperHeroes: ‘Weather on the Gogh’

What if your weather app was a masterpiece? SuperHeroes created an AI model trained on 150+ Van Gogh paintings. It transforms real-time weather data into a unique digital painting reflecting the current sky outside your window.

UNESCO: The Virtual Museum of Stolen Cultural Objects

UNESCO used AI to create lifelike 3D models of stolen artifacts. This immersive virtual museum allows the public to see missing treasures that are otherwise hidden from the world, making them harder to resell and raising awareness about illicit trafficking.

Skechers: Luna, the AI Retail Assistant

In Singapore, Skechers introduced "Luna," an AI stylist. Available via in-store kiosks or Telegram, Luna gives personalized outfit recommendations and style advice in real-time, bridging the gap between online shopping and the physical store.

McDonald’s: "Magic Stories" for families

McDonald’s turned family visits into animated adventures. Using LLMs and custom image generators, the app creates a personalized story based on the family’s visit, allowing them to "unlock" new chapters and virtual items every time they return.

Three UK revives a 1920s Football Legend

To celebrate Women’s Day, Three UK used AI to recreate an interview with Lily Parr, a pioneer of women’s football. By combining historical research with 3D mapping, they allowed fans to "meet" a legend whose career was largely unrecorded on film.
