The film "The Brutalist" features extensive dialogue in Hungarian, with filmmakers employing AI technology from Ukrainian specialist Respeecher to ensure accuracy. Director JancsΓ³, a native speaker, emphasized the difficulty of the language, even for actors like Adrien Brody, who has Hungarian heritage. To perfect the pronunciation, they recorded the actors' voices, incorporating JancsΓ³'s own voice into the AI model to refine the dialogue. This approach aimed to maintain the actors' performances while enhancing specific sounds, streamlining the post-production process. Additionally, AI was used in a sequence set at the Venice Biennale to create architectural drawings, showcasing how AI can expedite filmmaking without replacing traditional methods.
