Anthropic has launched a livestream on Twitch featuring its AI model, Claude 3.7 Sonnet, playing Pokémon Red. This experiment showcases the model's reasoning capabilities as it navigates the game, presenting a unique blend of entertainment and AI evaluation. While Claude 3.7 Sonnet has made progress—winning three gym badges—it's not without challenges.

During the stream, it struggled to move past a rock wall, leading to humorous commentary from viewers. Despite its slow pace and occasional confusion, such as mistaking an NPC for Professor Oak, the stream provides insight into Claude's thought processes alongside real-time gameplay.

Akool has introduced advanced enhancements to its Streaming Avatars, integrating video generation technology with LLMs to create dynamic, lifelike 2D avatars. Users can upload photos and voice recordings to generate personalized avatars, making interactions feel more human.

These avatars are designed for various industries, improving customer engagement in e-commerce, education, healthcare, and customer service. Akool claims its technology can reduce customer service response times by 40% and increase satisfaction by 30%. The company offers two types of avatars: streaming avatars for real-time interaction and talking avatars for pre-recorded messages.

Alibaba is now offering free access to its generative AI models, which can create realistic videos and images from text and image inputs. The company has announced that four variants of its Wan 2.1 series are open source and available for download and modification.

Users, including researchers and commercial entities, can access these models through Alibaba Cloud's ModelScope and Hugging Face platforms. Alibaba's generative AI technology is also set to enhance AI features for iPhones sold in China, as Apple seeks local partnerships due to regulatory constraints on AI technologies.
