This new version introduces intelligent features such as Magnetic Mask and Transcribe to Captions. Magnetic Mask allows editors to easily isolate subjects in a clip without the complex rotoscoping typically required, while Transcribe to Captions automatically generates accurate closed captions using advanced AI. Additionally, Final Cut Pro 11 supports spatial video editing, enabling editors to work directly with footage for Apple Vision Pro. The update also includes improvements for iPad users, such as enhanced touch controls and new content libraries.
YouTube is currently testing an exciting new feature that allows select creators to remix songs using artificial intelligence. The feature, called "Restyle a track," enables creators to input prompts describing how they want to alter a song's style. The AI then generates 30-second snippets that can be used in YouTube Shorts, promoting creative expression while ensuring that original artists are properly credited.

O2 deploys AI-Powered 'Granny' to combat phone scammers

O2 and VCCP's creative agency have launched an innovative anti-fraud campaign featuring "Daisy", an AI-powered virtual character designed to waste scammers' time. Created in response to statistics showing 22% of Brits face weekly fraud attempts, Daisy appears as a convincing elderly woman, deliberately playing into scammers' tendency to target older people. The AI assistant, modeled after a VCCP employee's grandmother, engages scammers in lengthy conversations about family stories and knitting, sometimes keeping them on the line for over 40 minutes.
Developed with input from scam-fighting expert Jim Browning, Daisy combines various generative models and large language models to create believable, real-time interactions. The campaign, which includes social media content and collaboration with former Love Islander Amy Hart, aims to raise awareness about scam prevention while highlighting O2's commitment to protecting customers from fraud.
Coca-Cola's AI-Generated Christmas ads face public criticism
Coca-Cola's 2024 Christmas campaign, featuring AI-generated advertisements, has sparked controversy and criticism. The ads, created by three AI studios (Secret Level, Silverside AI, and Wild Card) using models like Leonardo, Luma, Runway, and Kling, attempted to recreate the spirit of Coca-Cola's iconic 1995 "Holidays Are Coming" campaign. The main ad features rapid cuts of delivery trucks and brief shots of smiling customers, but viewers noted several technical issues with unrealistic movements, such as trucks' wheels not spinning properly, distorted proportions in city scenes, inconsistent background elements, and very quick cuts used to mask AI limitations. Notably, Santa's face is completely absent from the footage.
The production process revealed significant challenges, with multiple AI models required to achieve usable footage, hundreds of attempts needed for simple scenes, manual addition of text and logos, and particular difficulty with human motion. Critics, including industry professionals, argued that the AI-generated content was inefficient, potentially harmful to creative jobs, and lacking the charm of traditional human-created advertisements.

Multi-Entity consistency in Vidu
Vidu released a crazy new feature in their AI video editor, you now have the ability to input multi images references with different subjects or different angles for the same subject.
Let’s see how to use it 👇
1/ Navigate to the “Reference to Video” tab.

Make sure the”Multi-Entity Consistency” toggle is activated.
2/ Upload your reference images.
Select your reference images (e.g., a living room, a woman, and a sofa).
Enter a description prompt (required) - for example: "a woman dancing in the middle of nowhere"
Note: Generation cannot begin without a description prompt

3/ Adjust paramaters as needed
Duration: Choose between 4 or 8 seconds
Resolution: Select from:
Speed (basic)
720p
1080p (premium)
Movement amplitude:
Auto
Small
Medium
Large
Aspect ratio:
16:9
9:16
1:1

4/ Result
Using Speed resolution:
Quality is noticeably limited
Motion appears blurry
Subject accuracy is suboptimal
However, the basic functionality of incorporating multiple elements works as intended

Another test case: Cybertruck with multiple angles:
Subject resembles the reference images
Video quality and motion accuracy need improvement
Current performance suggests the video model is still in early development compared to competitors like Kling, Runway, or Minimax

Conclusion:
While the multi-entity feature shows promise, the execution needs refinement. Consider revisiting Vidu's capabilities after future updates. 👇
