World Labs, founded by AI pioneer Fei-Fei Li, has launched Marble, its inaugural commercial generative world model available through freemium and paid tiers. The tool enables users to produce editable, downloadable 3D environments from inputs like text prompts, photos, videos, 3D layouts, or panoramas, generating persistent scenes with reduced inconsistencies. Co-founder Justin Johnson contributed to development, building on the company's $230 million funding and a limited beta released two months prior.

Marble features AI-native editing tools and the hybrid 3D editor Chisel for spatial blocking and detailing, multi-input support for digital twins, world expansion capabilities, and compatibility with VR headsets like Vision Pro and Quest 3. Outputs include Gaussian splats, meshes, or videos, advancing spatial intelligence for applications in gaming, robotics, science, and medicine. The product competes with efforts from Decart, Odyssey, and Google’s Genie in the world model space.

Webflow has unveiled App Gen, an AI tool that generates production-ready full-stack web applications directly within its platform from user prompts. Chief Product Officer Rachel Wolan highlighted its role in streamlining development, with the public beta available on all site plans at no cost during testing. It leverages Webflow Cloud for secure, scalable hosting of apps like event calendars, pricing calculators, and job boards.

The tool ensures apps align with a site's design system, applying typography, colors, and layouts automatically, while reusing components and connecting to CMS for dynamic data. Future updates will add authentication, databases, third-party integrations, and Component Gen for custom AI elements. This builds on Webflow's existing cloud infrastructure, enabling non-coders to produce complex, data-driven interfaces efficiently.

OpenAI has rolled out a pilot for group chat functionality in ChatGPT, targeting users in Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, and Taiwan. The feature supports 1-20 participants via invitation on mobile and web for Free, Plus, and Team plans, with private chats and memory remaining isolated. It incorporates safeguards for users under 18, including content filtering and parental controls, and organizes groups in a sidebar.

Powered by GPT-5.1 Auto, the chats handle responses with integrated search, image generation, file uploads, and dictation, while applying usage limits only to AI outputs. Users can tag ChatGPT, react with emojis, and display profile photos. This pilot follows testing of direct-message tools and OpenAI's September Sora 2 launch, marking an initial step toward collaborative AI experiences, with feedback sought from early participants.

ElevenLabs, an AI audio startup, has launched an online marketplace facilitating the licensing of AI-generated voices from famous figures for advertisements and content. The platform connects brands with voice rights holders, using cloning or synthetic replication from archival audio to ensure consent, transparency, and fair compensation, limited to 28 verified voices.

Living celebrity Michael Caine endorsed it, stating, “It’s not about replacing voices; it’s about amplifying them.”Included voices span historical icons like Thomas Edison, Alan Turing, Judy Garland, and Mark Twain, alongside figures such as Liza Minnelli, Art Garfunkel, John Wayne, and athletes like Babe Ruth and Jim Thorpe. The performer-first approach addresses ethical issues in AI voice replication, enabling new storytelling while formalizing deals for commercial use.

Disney+ is set to introduce an AI-powered feature enabling subscribers to generate personalized videos using generative AI, with a rollout planned for 2026. The tool, developed in partnership with Google Cloud's Vertex AI platform, will allow users to create content such as custom birthday messages featuring Disney characters, integrated into the streaming service's ecosystem. Disney executives, including Joe Inzerillo, executive vice president of direct-to-consumer at Disney, emphasized the feature's focus on enhancing fan engagement while maintaining strict content guidelines to ensure family-friendly outputs.

The generative AI tool will leverage Disney's intellectual property, including characters from franchises like Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars, to produce short-form videos from user prompts. Safety measures, including content moderation and restrictions on commercial use, will be enforced to prevent misuse. This initiative builds on Disney's existing AI collaborations, such as with Google for recommendation systems, aiming to blend user creativity with protected IP in a controlled environment.

SHEBA's AI-personalized 4AM Cat stories

CampaignAMV BBDO has developed the SHEBA 4AM Stories campaign for SHEBA, featuring actor Lucien Laviscount as a cat owner and directed by Claire Norowzian. Key contributors include Ant Eagle, social creative director at AMV BBDO, and Jean-Paul Jansen, chief marketing officer at Mars Pet Nutrition North America. The project addresses cats' crepuscular nature and their tendency to wake owners at 4 a.m., promoting SHEBA SELECTIONS Filets while fostering deeper pet-owner connections through interactive storytelling.

Users input their cat's name, gender, fur color, and personality to generate personalized short stories inspired by authors like Jane Austen, Edgar Allan Poe, and Lewis Carroll, available as books or audiobooks with relaxing voices and a "lights-off" mode for bedtime. The AI-powered program handles story creation based on these details, delivering soothing audio experiences to help owners fall back asleep.
