Pinterest has launched new AI-powered advertising solutions and shopping trend forecasting ahead of the 2025 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Among these innovations are auto-collages, which allow advertisers to transform their product catalogs into thousands of shoppable collages quickly. Early tests show that users saved auto-collages at twice the rate of regular product Pins, making them a valuable tool for engaging Gen Z users.

Additionally, Pinterest has enhanced its Trends tool to provide deeper insights into consumer behavior, helping brands forecast shopping trends based on user engagement and saved content. Features like Shopping Trends and Trends in the Spotlight allow advertisers to identify emerging interests and tailor their campaigns accordingly. With these advancements, Pinterest aims to enhance the effectiveness of advertising by connecting brands with consumers at the right moment and with relevant content.

Mattel, Inc. has announced a strategic collaboration with OpenAI to develop AI-powered products and experiences centered around Mattel’s iconic brands. The partnership aims to merge Mattel's expertise in family entertainment with OpenAI's advanced technology to create innovative, age-appropriate play experiences while ensuring safety, privacy, and security for users.

As part of this collaboration, Mattel plans to incorporate OpenAI’s tools, including ChatGPT Enterprise, into its operations to enhance product development and creative processes. The companies will work together to launch a series of new products, with the first expected to be announced later this year. This partnership reflects Mattel's commitment to leveraging new technologies to engage audiences and expand its leadership in the toy industry.

Google has launched a new feature that allows users to listen to AI-generated audio summaries of their search results through a test called Audio Overview. This feature enables two virtual voices to discuss search results, providing users with a summarized experience without needing to click through links. Currently, the feature is available in search labs, requiring users to manually enable it, and it appears below the standard search results.

The audio overviews are generated upon user request, and while they generally provide accurate summaries for straightforward topics, there is potential for errors given the broader range of information. This feature builds on similar capabilities introduced in Google's NotebookLM and other AI applications, indicating a trend towards integrating audio experiences into search functionalities. As Google continues to develop its AI features, Audio Overviews may soon become a standard part of the search experience.

Noli, an AI-powered beauty marketplace backed by L’Oréal Groupe, has partnered with Accenture to enhance its platform and deliver personalized beauty shopping experiences. This collaboration aims to address the common consumer challenge of choice overload by providing science-backed recommendations based on over one million skin data points and thousands of product formulations. Noli's approach helps users shop with confidence, with research indicating that 85% of users feel more assured in their purchases.

The partnership will leverage Accenture's AI Refinery, powered by NVIDIA and Microsoft Azure, to create an "AI Beauty Trust Agent." This initiative is designed to improve personalized recommendations and streamline the beauty shopping journey, making it easier for consumers to find suitable products. Noli plans to expand its offerings beyond skincare and haircare into other beauty categories, aiming to establish itself as a leading AI-powered experience in the beauty industry.

Publicis Groupe has launched a new Center of Excellence in collaboration with Nvidia to support clients in their AI transformation efforts. The initiative, led by Publicis Sapient, aims to build an "AI factory" for developing diverse client use cases, upgrade Sapient’s AI platform Bodhi, and provide solutions for managing AI strategy and infrastructure. This partnership reflects Publicis's commitment to investing hundreds of millions into AI as part of its evolution into a tech-enabled platform.

The COE seeks to combine Nvidia’s advanced technology with Publicis Sapient’s expertise in digital transformation, facilitating a holistic approach to enterprise AI adoption. The collaboration will enhance Bodhi, enabling the creation of virtual agents capable of independent reasoning and planning. Publicis aims to guide clients through each stage of their AI journey, transforming strategic goals into actionable intelligence that drives tangible business results.

Amaysim has introduced its first AI-generated television commercial (TVC), titled "The Escape Story," developed entirely in-house by a two-person creative team. This initiative marks a significant step for Amaysim in integrating generative artificial intelligence into its marketing efforts. The campaign used Adobe Firefly for image generation and Runway for motion design, creating the entire TVC frame by frame in under two weeks. Chief Marketing Officer Peter MacGregor noted the campaign's aim to address the rising cost-of-living pressures faced by Australians seeking better mobile deals.

The creative direction was informed by research from YouGov, highlighting that 30% of Australians have struggled to pay their mobile bills, with many perceiving smaller telcos as offering better value. The project was led by Amaysim’s in-house creative studio, focusing on a warm and minimalist aesthetic to convey the brand's whimsical personality. Associate Director Jarod Green emphasized that the initiative not only showcases Amaysim's commitment to innovative storytelling but also signals a broader industry trend towards leveraging AI for efficient and emotionally engaging narratives. The new TVC is now live across national broadcast and digital platforms.
