The addition of Canva Code allows users to create mini-apps, such as interactive maps and calculators, which can be integrated into designs. Canva has collaborated with Anthropic for this feature, emphasizing the company's focus on interactive prototypes.

Furthermore, Canva is enhancing its photo editing tools with new capabilities for modifying images and generating backgrounds that consider lighting and layout. The introduction of Canva Sheets will include features like Magic Insights and Magic Charts to help users analyze data effectively.

Snapchat has launched Sponsored AI Lenses, a new ad format that uses its proprietary Generative AI technology to create immersive and interactive advertising experiences. These lenses allow users to see themselves in various scenarios, such as adopting vintage hairstyles or exploring different styles, enhancing brand engagement. Advertisers using Sponsored AI Lenses can expect increased visibility, with access to 25-45% more impressions daily.

Brands like Uber and Tinder have already leveraged this format for campaigns, achieving higher engagement than standard lenses. The technology streamlines the creative process by replacing traditional 3D design with AI-generated templates, reducing production times while enhancing visual storytelling. Sponsored AI Lenses are available in the Lens Carousel, where over 300 million users interact with augmented reality experiences daily.

YouTube is introducing a new feature that allows creators to generate custom instrumental music using AI technology. Announced on its Creator Insider channel, this update is gradually rolling out to users of the Creator Music marketplace, which was launched in 2023 to simplify music licensing for video creators.

The new Music Assistant tab will enable creators to specify their music preferences, including instruments and mood, through a text prompt. Suggested prompts will also be provided to assist users. Once generated, the tracks can be downloaded and added to videos without concerns about copyright claims, as the music is free to use. This feature is currently available to U.S. creators in the YouTube Partner Program.

Google has partnered with Range Media to introduce AI on Screen, a short film program focused on exploring the relationship between humanity and artificial intelligence. Over the next 18 months, the initiative will commission original narratives from filmmakers that delve into the emotional and ethical dilemmas posed by AI technology.

The program aims to foster a filmmaking ecosystem that encourages diverse viewpoints on AI's role in society. The first two films, “SWEETWATER” by Sean Douglas and “LUCID” by Sammi Cohen, are set for release later this year and will be submitted to major film festivals.

Google and Range Media are calling for submissions from filmmakers across various genres, emphasizing the importance of unique storytelling perspectives. This initiative builds on previous efforts to depict AI through speculative photography and aims to stimulate conversations about technology and creativity.

Google has introduced DolphinGemma, an AI model designed to study and decode dolphin communication. Developed in collaboration with researchers from Georgia Tech and the Wild Dolphin Project, this model analyzes the complex vocalizations of dolphins, including clicks and whistles.

Launched on National Dolphin Day, DolphinGemma uses advanced audio technologies to process dolphin sounds and identify patterns that may indicate meaning. The Wild Dolphin Project has provided a rich dataset from over three decades of research on Atlantic spotted dolphins in the Bahamas.

By analyzing these vocalizations, DolphinGemma aims to uncover hidden structures in dolphin communication, potentially leading to a shared vocabulary for interactive exchanges between humans and dolphins.

Pepsi has unveiled its innovative campaign, "Your Bites, Your Rights," in Brazil, showcasing a unique intersection of food, technology, and consumer empowerment. This initiative, developed in collaboration with the agency Bakery – Powered by Ampfy, allows diners at Pirajá, a bar in São Paulo, to design their own dishes using a tablet equipped with voice command AI. This technology generates custom food combinations, which are visually represented and then prepared by the restaurant's chefs, creating a personalized dining experience that aligns with Pepsi's global "Better With" positioning.

The campaign emphasizes consumer choice and individuality, tapping into the trend of personalization in marketing. According to Diego Bastian, Head of Carbonated Beverages Marketing at PepsiCo Brazil, the project illustrates how technology can enhance the connection between digital and physical experiences. Supported by influencers such as Camila Trianda and Caju, the campaign also leveraged social media platforms like Meta and TikTok to amplify engagement. By transforming Pirajá into an experimental space for culinary creativity, Pepsi demonstrates the potential of AI to redefine brand experiences in the food and beverage industry.
