Pinterest has announced new AI-driven features aimed at personalizing user experience on its platform. Among these innovations is the “Styled for you” collage, which helps users create outfits by mixing and matching clothing and accessories from their saved fashion Pins. Users can tap on items within the collage to access AI-recommended saved pins for additional outfit ideas. Additionally, Pinterest is testing “Boards made for you,” which are personalized boards curated through a combination of editorial input and AI suggestions, featuring trending styles and shoppable content.
These enhancements are part of Pinterest's strategy to evolve its boards from simple organizational tools into personalized resources for exploration and shopping. The new features will initially be rolled out in the U.S. and Canada over the coming months. This initiative aligns with Pinterest’s goal to establish itself as an "AI-enabled shopping assistant," as noted by the CEO in the company’s recent earnings call. While introducing these AI features, Pinterest also aims to manage the presence of AI-generated content, having previously implemented labeling for such images and providing users with controls to limit AI-generated Pins in their feeds.

Snapchat has made its "Imagine Lens," the first open prompt image-generation AI Lens, available for free to all users in the U.S. Originally launched in September for paid subscribers, this feature allows users to edit their Snaps using custom prompts or create entirely new images. Users can request transformations like “Turn me into an alien” or generate images of a “grumpy cat.” The results can be shared directly with friends or posted to users' Stories, enhancing social interaction within the app.
The decision to broaden access to the AI Lens comes amid competition from similar offerings by Meta and OpenAI, which have launched advanced AI video-generating tools targeting younger audiences. Until now, Snapchat's AI Lens was exclusive to Lens+ and Snapchat Platinum subscribers, but the new rollout includes a limited number of image generations for free users.

Napster has introduced Napster View, a holographic display that allows Mac users to interact with over 15,000 AI companions in a 3D format. Priced at $99, this device aims to revolutionize the way users collaborate with AI, offering context-aware guidance and the ability to see the user’s screen with permission. Edo Segal, CTO of Napster, emphasized that this technology transcends traditional chatbots by providing real-time collaboration with AI companions, marking a shift towards what they describe as "Agentic AI."
The Napster View features a 2.1-inch display powered by lenticular lens technology, enabling lifelike interactions without glasses. The device integrates seamlessly with Napster's AI platform, allowing users to receive instant assistance without interrupting their workflow. Notable functionalities include live 3D video calling, coding assistance, and creative feedback, all aimed at enhancing productivity.

Channel 4 features AI presenter in UK Program

Channel 4 has made television history by featuring Britain’s first AI presenter in its documentary "Will AI Take My Job?" The program, which aired on October 20, aims to explore the impact of AI automation on various professions, including medicine, law, fashion, and music. In a surprising twist revealed at the end of the show, viewers learn that the presenter, who appeared throughout the program, was entirely AI-generated, with no real-world filming involved.
The AI presenter was created by AI fashion brand Seraphinne Vallora for Kalel Productions, showcasing advanced technology that can convincingly replicate human presence. Channel 4 emphasized its commitment to ethical guidelines regarding AI use, ensuring transparency with viewers about the nature of the presentation. While the network does not plan to regularly employ AI presenters in its news and current affairs programming, the initiative serves as a reminder of AI's potential to disrupt traditional roles and raise questions about trust and authenticity in media.
